Título: LINEAR VERRUCOUS EPIDERMAL NEVI: ORAL AND FACIAL MANIFESTATIONS

Resumo: A 32-year-old woman presented multiple papules on the lips and a verrucous plaque on the hard palate with a color similar to that of the mucosa. He also had brownish verrucous plaques on his face and neck, present since childhood, in addition to areas of alopecia. An excisional biopsy of one of the lesions revealed "the presence of hyperplastic stratified squamous epithelium, showing finger-like projections" leading to the diagnosis of epithelial hyperplasia with a papillomatous appearance. The patient was referred for Dermatology Service. Adding the extraoral clinical characteristics, the history of lesions since childhood, the intraoral alterations, and the histopathological findings, the diagnosis of Linear Verrucous Epidermal Nevus was established. Cauterization sessions of lip lesions were performed with 70% trichloroacetic acid. Areas of recurrence were observed on the hard palate, which was then removed with high-power laser therapy. The patient is being followed up, with controlled oral lesions.
