Título: Multidisciplinary approach to a rare case of Multiple Hyperplastic Calcified Dental Follicles

Resumo: Multiple calcified hyperplastic dental follicles (MCHDF) is a rare condition characterized by multiple impacted teeth, with calcifications and remnants of odontogenic epithelium in their dilated follicles. In the present case, the 18-year-old female patient had her deciduous teeth in occlusion and no permanent teeth had erupted. In panoramic radiography, multiple impacted permanent teeth with altered follicles were observed. Cone Beam computed tomography showed an increase in the pericoronal space of the impacted teeth, with intermingled areas of calcifications. Hypodense images were also observed, partially circumscribed in the crowns of the impacted teeth, confirming the diagnosis of Hypocalcified Amelogenesis Imperfecta. The histological sections of the follicular region of tooth 47 showed numerous rounded structures, with concentric and acellular calcification, dispersed in the connective tissue, concluding the diagnosis of MCHDF. As a treatment, the impacted teeth were preserved and a removable complete denture was made to restore function and aesthetics.
